Final MMS Sprintcar Show For The Season

Author:- Sprintcarworld

Following the unfortunate cancellation of the doubleheader on the March long weekend the Sprintcars return to Murray bridge Speedway this Saturday night for the first time since the 2025 Clearview Accessories Australian Sprintcar Championship to contest the final club show of the 2024/25 season. The event has attracted a field of 16 competitors but despite the lower-than-expected number the nomination list is still full of talent with drivers from all over South Australia, Victoria and the Northern Territory travelling to what should be a wide-open event.

GW Racing’s Brock Hallett, who will be searching for his third win of the Murray Bridge season, leads the entry list along with Australian Sprintcar Stampede winner Matt Egel. Joining them will be the likes of State Championship runner up Luke Dillon, local Murray Bridge favourite Ryan Jones, who is coming off a runner-up result in the SA 360/LS Title, Ben Morris, who has been in outstanding form in the 360/LS class of late, Steven Caruso, Joel Heinrich and Lockie McDonough.

The State’s South-East will also be represented strongly with Mount Gambier’s Glen Sutherland and teenager Parker Scott making the trek to Murray Bridge along with Bordertown resident Dylan Jenkin, who has made an impressive return to racing this season after a ten-year break. In fact, along with Ben Morris, who finished sixth in the Clearview Accessories Australian Sprintcar Championship, Jenkin was the outstanding local competitor as managed to record a top 10 result against Australia’s best competitors.

With Luke Dillon returning to his own Dillon Motorsport #81 the Perrett Family Racing #98 will have it’s third different driver in the car this weekend with Portland’s Luke Storer. In recent years Luke has been racing in the 360/LS division but it he will be stepping up into the 410ci division for the first time. Luke has had plenty of track time at Murray Bridge over the years in lower open wheeled divisions, but nothing will compare to what he is in for on Saturday night.

Alice Springs competitors Lachlan Cole and Mark Phillips, who will campaign a LS powered machine, will also join the field with both drivers making their Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway debuts. Lachlan’s Father Lenny has raced at several South Australian venue’s previously including Murray Bridge, Whyalla, and the old configuration of the Tolmer Speedway.
