TRIPLE M KENDRICK RACING TEAM LOOKING TO MAKE AMENDS

Author:- Kendrick Racing

“The simple fact is we weren’t good enough.” That was the brutal assessment of Triple M Kendrick Racing Team boss Geoff Kendrick after the fourth round of the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series was held at Bunbury Speedway last Saturday night.

The records will show that Jason Kendrick finished the feature race in 10th place from a field of 23 cars - however after starting from p5 and getting up to fourth early in the 30-lap race - the result was disappointing for the team.

This is after the best possible start to the show where Jason set the overall quickest lap, winning the Victory 1 Performance Quick Time for the round - something that has eluded the team for quite some time.

This meant the W11 lined up in p4 for the heat race - and ultimately crossing the line in fourth.

“We were looking for a good result at Bunbury, and that was definitely the case after setting quick time, but it was not so great after that,” Geoff said.

“Basically we screwed up from there - to the point the car was nearly undriveable in the feature race.

“Jason did a good job to keep the car rolling and getting it home.

“The team let Jason down and we let our sponsors down.”

Now everyone in the team is looking to make amends - and will get that opportunity on Saturday night when the fifth round - the Jolly Good In Car Audio WA Sprintcar Championship is held at the Perth Motorplex.

“We will definitely be ready for the WA Title - we have won that event three times before with Jason and we know we are capable of winning it again,” Geoff said.

“A podium result this Saturday night will set the team up well before we resume racing on Boxing Day for a massive nine nights of the Speedweek series.”
